Going to Mexico isn’t complete until you take a leisurely stroll through the Tianguis — a sprawling bazaar that draws visitors with the promise of unique discoveries. You’ll find a bewildering selection of goods here, from tasty meats and aromatic spices to the unusual and unexpected. Like my story about Tianguis in Tlaxcala, where I found the most unique fruits I’ve ever seen.

But today, I want to tell you about my unforgettable trip to the Tianguis Cultural del Chopo, also known locally as “The Punk Market,” “The Metal Market,” or even “The Goth Market.” Believe me when I say that this space is nothing short of enthralling!
