Mexico City In Spring
Transforms the city into a violet.
Spring has sprung.
Today is the first day of spring in Mexico City.
As the locals say, “La Primavera llegó a la CDMX.”
It’s a perfect time to stroll around to see what the first day of spring in Mexico City looks like.
It was 10 o’clock in the morning, and I started my day by wandering through Paseo de la Reforma.
It was lovely. The streets are filled with fully blooming Jacaranda trees, transforming the city into a lilac color.
Jacaranda has become a spring icon in town. Thanks to Tatsuguro Matsumoto, a Japanese immigrant, planted the jacaranda trees. That blossom throughout the city in the springtime.
