Today began with a cold morning and a thin layer of dew covering my window. I woke up and went about my usual routine. Then I found myself standing right on my desk, and there they were — scorpions, Binario, and Chicarra.

Not too long ago, I went to a market where they were selling bugs as food. It sounded weird but also exciting. I bought some insects, curious about how they tasted.

And you know what? I still remember how the taste of stink bugs had made my tongue feel numb just the day before. And here I am, ready for another challenge — eating insects.

I was both nervous and curious. These bugs were larger than the ones I tried yesterday. It was a challenge to even imagine putting them in my mouth, chewing on their tiny legs, and swallowing them.

I started with a cicada, also called Chicarra. It had a taste that reminded me of the earth, like soil. It was stronger in flavor than the Gusano…
